IPDPS 2026 Industry-Research Participation

Industry & Innovation Partnerships at IPDPS

IPDPS is a leading international symposium focused on advancing parallel and distributed computing technologies. Each year, over 600 experts from academia, national labs, and industry converge to share cutting-edge research, foster collaboration, and explore new technology frontiers. This makes IPDPS an ideal platform for industry partners to engage directly with technical decision-makers, researchers, and the next generation of talent.

Industry participation is designed to be flexible and customized, empowering companies to tailor their engagement to match strategic goals—whether that be showcasing innovations, networking with peers, recruiting top PhD talent, or influencing emerging research directions. This partnership is not transactional sponsorship; rather, it is a collaborative alliance that benefits both the IPDPS community and industry players.

Through exhibits, technical sessions, tutorials, and student engagement activities, partners gain measurable visibility and technical credibility within this specialized and influential ecosystem. IPDPS also leverages its reputation as an IEEE flagship event to extend partner impact globally via digital proceedings and ongoing community connections.

High-impact benefits include:

  • Access to a concentrated global network of parallel and distributed systems experts, from research scientists to industry architects and PhD candidates.
  • Multiple channels for technical interaction, brand visibility, and talent engagement across a five-day event supported by workshops and student forums.

Overview

IPDPS provides a unique, technically sophisticated environment for industry to connect with the global parallel and distributed computing community. Participation is structured to maximize value in three dimensions: technical visibility, community engagement, and talent access. Our goal is to co-design partnerships that align impactfully with your company’s strategic R&D, marketing, and hiring initiatives.

Why IPDPS for Industry?

  • Technical Concentration: IPDPS gathers experts focused exclusively on parallel and distributed systems, providing an efficient forum for technical influence and feedback.
  • Talent Pipeline: The conference's student programs and PhD forum enable direct access to future leaders and innovators.
  • Collaborative Ecosystem: Workshops, tutorials, and evening technical sessions support multi-stakeholder dialogue and co-created research agendas.
  • Global Reach: Proceedings disseminated through IEEE Digital Library multiply your impact far beyond the conference itself.

How to Partner with IPDPS

To ensure a valuable and seamless experience, IPDPS recommends the following timeline and process for industry partnership:

  • Initial Consultation, Proposal & Selection (December-January): Identify and confirm partnership tiers, benefits, and logistics tailored to your company’s needs.
  • Confirmation & Preparation (February–April): Finalize registrations, scheduling, promotional materials, and on-site arrangements for your participation.
  • Conference Participation (May): Deliver your chosen engagements, including exhibits, tutorials, presentations, and student interactions during the IPDPS week.
  • Post-Event Follow-up (June–July): Review outcomes and explore opportunities to continue or expand your partnership in future years.

Given the multi-stakeholder nature of decision-making, many companies finalize their plans toward the end of the calendar year. IPDPS offers flexibility to accommodate both early and late decisions to fit your planning cycle.
