 2004 IPDPS Conference
18th International Parallel & Distributed Processing Symposium
Monday, April 26 – Friday, April 30
Santa Fe, New Mexico, Eldorado Hotel

The 18th International Parallel & Distributed Processing Symposium – hosted by the University of New Mexico – will be held at the Eldorado Hotel in Santa Fe. The oldest capital city in North America and the oldest European community west of the Mississippi, Santa Fe was settled in the early 1600’s by Spanish conquistadors at the site of the ancient Pueblo Indian ruin of Kaupoge, or "place of shell beads near the water.”

Nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in New Mexico's desert highlands, Santa Fe offers a remarkable set of galleries, museums, and the renowned Native American market. As well as its Native American and Spanish influences, the diverse associations with Santa Fe include Georgia O’Keeffe, Los Alamos, and Taos.

Home to a world-renowned opera company, Santa Fe is an international city surrounded by the spectacular outdoors of the Southwest, including the Bandelier National Monument, Valles Caldera, and the Jemez Mountains. IPDPS 2004 attendees will be able to enjoy the mountain spring weather and participate in the village life of Santa Fe at the Eldorado “on the plaza.” And Santa Fe is less than an hour away by shuttle or car from the Albuquerque International Airport (ABQ) – a drive through spectacular scenery.
